Partition of a forward rack

The suitable stripper of springs preferably regulated is required. Attempt to disassemble a rack without this tool will lead to damage of components or a trauma.

The new nut of a plate of the top fastening is required. Following procedures concern all models, except 2.0 l of the Compartment with 16 valves on which forward racks are attached in another way; components are located in a following order: a plate of the top fastening, the bearing, the top support, a cover and a spring.

PARTITION

1. Clean off from a rack an external dirt, then tighten it vertically in a vice. Establish a stripper and compress a spring so to remove its pressure from support (address to an accompanying illustration). 2. Uncover a nut of a plate of the top fastening, then ослабьте a nut, having blocked a rod of the piston of the shock-absorber a suitable face key-shestigrannikom (address to an accompanying illustration). 3. Turn away a nut and remove a plate of the top fastening (address to an accompanying illustration). 4a. Remove a spring. 4b. Remove its bottom support. 4c. Remove the bearing then remove from the piston a dustproof cover (address to illustrations). 5. Examine the shock-absorber on presence of smudges. Check up a piston rod on presence of dot corrosion, and the shock-absorber case - on presence of damages. Keep the shock-absorber in vertical position and check up its work, some times having moved the piston at first at full capacity, and then on shorter distance (50-100 mm). In both cases resistance should be equal and identical. If the piston moves jerky or elasticity of the shock-absorber at check performance varied, and also if there is any visible sign of deterioration, replace a rack. 6. Examine other components on presence of damages, giving particular attention to the bearing, and replace them as required. 7. Establish a dustproof cover on the piston. 8. Establish the bearing, and then assemblage of the bottom support of a spring. 9. Establish a spring so that its former end rested against the terminator on a support. 10. Establish a plate of the top fastening, having combined its terminator with the spring end, then screw a new nut (address to an accompanying illustration). Block a rod of the piston of the shock-absorber and tighten a nut of an assembly plate the effort resulted in Specifications. Establish on a nut a cap. 11. Slowly let out and remove a stripper of springs, trying not to displace the spring ends. 12. Establish a rack on the car as Removal and installation of a forward rack is described in Section.
