Removal at installation of cogwheels drive a belt and the tension mechanism

Engines F8Q 620 and early F8Q are equipped gear приводным by a belt “HTD”, and late F8Q and all F9Q - a belt with other profile a tooth “HTD2”. Every time at replacement gear drive a belt be always convinced that have got the belt of correct type approaching to cogwheels - the same concerns and any a cogwheel which will be replaced.

At installation use new gear приводной a belt.

COGWHEEL КОЛЕНВАЛА

For work the suitable stripper can be demanded.

 REMOVAL

1. Remove gear приводной a belt as Removal, survey and installation gear drive a belt is described in Section.

2. Usually the cogwheel easily acts in film with коленвала (address to an accompanying illustration). But in certain cases the stripper can be demanded.

3. Clean segment шпонку if it is badly fixed. Examine an epiploon on presence of oil smudges and if it is necessary, replace as it is described in Section Replacement of epiploons коленвала.


 INSTALLATION

1. Make installation in return sequence. Insert segment шпонку, establish a cogwheel.
2. Establish new gear приводной a belt as Removal, survey and installation gear drive a belt is described in Section.

COGWHEEL OF THE INTERMEDIATE SHAFT/ROLLER

 REMOVAL

1. Remove gear приводной a belt as Removal, survey and installation gear drive a belt is described in Section.
2. On engines with intermediate shaft (address to Specifications), keep a cogwheel the special tool. For this purpose also it is possible to use an old gear belt, having wrapped up it round a pulley and having grasped flat-nose pliers.

3. Turn away a fastening bolt, then pull down a pulley from the shaft end (address to an accompanying illustration). If it is necessary, use two levers or screw-drivers to release a pulley (if it is necessary, it is possible to use a stripper as is described above for a cogwheel коленвала). Pay attention that on some engines segment шпонка is a cogwheel part. On engines without an intermediate shaft turn away a bolt and remove an intermediate roller.


 INSTALLATION

1. On engines with intermediate shaft, establish segment шпонку (where is available) and put on a cogwheel a shaft. Tighten a bolt of fastening of a pulley the effort resulted in Specifications. On engines without an intermediate shaft, establish a roller and reliably tighten a fastening bolt.
2. Establish new gear приводной a belt as Removal, survey and installation gear drive a belt is described in Section.

COGWHEEL ТНВД

On engines F8Q 620, the suitable stripper is required. On early versions of engines F8Q with turbocharger (mainly F8Q 784) a cogwheel of the fuel pump of type “МАА” should act in film by means of tools Renault Mot. 1359 and Mot. 1357, and at installation it is required динамометрический a key for an inhaling of fixing details with the left carving. On later versions of these engines (especially on F8Q 786 and F8Q 788) and on all engines F9Q a cogwheel of the fuel pump of type “МАА” it is fixed by a nut from nonferrous metal with the built in washer.

 REMOVAL

1. On all engines, remove gear приводной a belt (address to Section Removal, survey and installation gear drive a belt).

2a. On engines F8Q 620, operate as follows (address to illustrations):
a) Keep a cogwheel tool Renault Mot. 1200 (address to Section Removal and installation of the fuel pump) or other approaching. For this purpose also it is possible to use an old gear belt, having wrapped up it round a pulley and having grasped flat-nose pliers.
b) Turn away a nut of a cogwheel of the pump. Do not remove a nut at this stage.

2b. Notice a site segment шпонки on the end of a shaft of the fuel pump. In a pulley there are two cuts under segment шпонку (for fuel pumps Bosch and Lucas - address to illustrations). Note a cut with segment шпонкой to guarantee correct installation.
d) By means of a suitable stripper release a pulley from a cone on a pump shaft.
e) Then turn out a nut of a pulley and remove a washer.
f) Remove a cogwheel and clean segment шпонку from the end of a shaft of the pump if it is badly fixed.

3. On early versions of engines F8Q c a turbo-supercharging, (a cogwheel of the fuel pump of type “МАА” it is fixed by a usual nut with a separate washer), operate as follows:
a) Establish tool Renault Mot. 1131 (the early version) or Mot. 1200 (the late version) to prevent a pulley from rotation. Probably it is necessary to turn slightly коленвал clockwise that the tool was linked to a pulley teeth - before проворачиванием коленвала be convinced that the adjusting pin has been removed from the block of cylinders.
b) Turn away a nut of a cogwheel and remove a washer.
Tool Renault Mot. 1359, turn on clockwise the central bolt of a pulley - the bolt has the left carving.
d) Instead of the central bolt вкрутитке counter-clockwise tool Renault Mot. 1357, then in the centre of it интсрумента twist bolt М12 х in 1.25 length 40 mm. Clamp a bolt in the tool to remove an asterisk.
e) Remove a cogwheel and clean segment шпонку from the end of a shaft of the pump if it is badly fixed
.

4. On later versions of engines F8Q c with a turbo-supercharging and on all engines F9Q, (a cogwheel of the fuel pump of type “МАА” it is fixed by a nut from nonferrous metal with the built in washer), operate as follows:
a) Establish tool Renault Mot. 1131 (the early version) or Mot. 1200 (the late version) to prevent a pulley from rotation. Probably it is necessary to turn slightly коленвал clockwise that the tool was linked to a pulley teeth - before проворачиванием коленвала be convinced that the adjusting pin has been removed from the block of cylinders.
b) Turn away a nut, release a cogwheel from a cone of a shaft of the pump.
Remove a cogwheel and clean segment шпонку from the end of a shaft of the pump if it is badly fixed
.
Put labels on a belt and a gear wheel for correct installation subsequently.


 INSTALLATION

1. Make installation in return sequence, paying attention to the following:
a) On engines F8Q 620 be convinced that segment шпонка it is inserted into the necessary cut in a pulley.
b) Tighten a cogwheel nut the effort resulted in Specifications (address to the Head of the Power supply system and release).
Establish and pull new gear приводной a belt as Removal, survey and installation gear drive a belt is described in Section.
d) Before installation of an external cover drive a belt on a cogwheel of the fuel pump, check up the injection moment as it is described in the Head of the Power supply system and release.

CAM-SHAFT COGWHEEL

For work the suitable stripper is required.

 REMOVAL

1. Remove gear приводной a belt as Removal, survey and installation gear drive a belt is described in Section.
2. On models with engines F9Q and air conditioner, turn away an assembly plate of the mechanism of a tension auxiliary drive a belt, then turn away a fixing bolt of the generator / the fuel pump.
3. Turn away bolts, fastening the main arm of the right support to the engine, and get an arm.

4. Turn away a bolt of a cogwheel of a cam-shaft. The pulley can be kept by means of a suitable nest and the lengthening core put on a head of one of bolts of fastening of an internal cover of a gear belt (address to an accompanying illustration). Alternatively, use old приводной the belt which has been wrapped up round a pulley. Remove a washer.

5. Remove a bolt, a washer and a cam-shaft cogwheel. For this purpose the suitable stripper can be used.

6. Clean segment шпонку from the cam-shaft end if it is badly fixed - pay attention that on engines of late models шпонка is a pulley part (address to an accompanying illustration).


 INSTALLATION

1. Establish segment шпонку (where is available) in a cam-shaft. Establish a cogwheel acting part to a head of the block of cylinders. Watch that шпонка has correctly entered into a cut.
2. Establish a bolt with a washer and tighten its effort resulted in Specifications, keeping a pulley a method used at removal.
3. Establish the main arm of the right support on the engine and tighten fastening bolts.
4. Establish bolts, fastening an assembly plate of the mechanism of a tension auxiliary drive a belt and the fuel pump/generator.
5. Establish new gear приводной a belt as Removal, survey and installation gear drive a belt is described in Section.

INTERMEDIATE PULLEY

 REMOVAL

1. Remove gear приводной a belt as Removal, survey and installation gear drive a belt is described in Section.
2. Turn away two bolts of fastening and remove an intermediate pulley, deducing it from internal covers of a gear belt.


 INSTALLATION

1. Make installation in return sequence.
2. Establish new gear приводной a belt as Removal, survey and installation gear drive a belt is described in Section.

INTERMEDIATE PULLEY

 REMOVAL

1. Remove gear приводной a belt as Removal, survey and installation gear drive a belt is described in Section.
2. Remove a fixing nut and a washer, turn away a fastening bolt, then remove assemblage of the mechanism of a tension.


 INSTALLATION

1. Make installation in return sequence. Track, that the ledge on the block of cylinders has entered into an aperture in an arm of the mechanism of a tension.
2. Establish new gear приводной a belt as Removal, survey and installation gear drive a belt is described in Section.
